NFL is getting a little weirder with more COVID cases but there are teams that are starting to emerge as contenders while others are proving their ineptitude on the field. Week 5 has a lot of these teams pitted against each other making for several 7 point spreads and above. However, we see several games that we like and we are ready for another huge week!
Here are your Week 5 NFL Locks:
Lock #1 – Jacksonville at Houston OVER 54 POINTS
Bill O’Brien is gone. Houston will have some pressure off them and go out and let it fly. We expect Deshaun Watson to play his best game of the year. Also, Jacksonville’s defense has already been shredded by Miami and Cincinnati this year. Gardner Minshew is starting to develop with his weapons including Chark, who has looked very good. Take the over.
Lock #2 -NYG at DALLAS (-9.5)
New York Giants haven’t scored 20 points in any game this season. Last week, they hung in and lost a close game at LAR. It is going to be tough to turn around and put in a good performance against a motivated Dallas who is probably still the favorite to win the division. The NFC East is absolute garbage but the Cowboys are feeling just fine at 1-3 with one of the worst teams in the NFL coming to Jerry’s World. Cowboys!
Lock #3 – Carolina (+1) at Atlanta
The Panthers are playing pretty good. They went out to LA and won convincingly vs the Chargers. Then they turn around a handle business at home vs media darling Arizona in a game we had on last week’s locks. Now they are playing Atlanta who is turning into a dumpster fire. Maybe Atlanta will show up and play inspired. However, they are on a short week after getting suplexed by the Packers Monday Night.
Lock #4 – CINCINNATI (+13.5) at Baltimore
Contrary to popular belief, these teams have been playing each other very tough over the last 10 years. Cincinnati has been known to have Baltimore’s number. And now you are going to give Joe Burrow 2 touchdowns. When the Bengals have protected him, he’s looked great. Last week, if you follow our Twitter, we put an INFINITY LOCK on Cincinnati to beat Jacksonville at home. And they crushed them in the 2nd half. Take the points with Joe Burrow who looks about as nervous as Snoop Dogg walking into a dispensary.
