Utah that’s just that’s not that’s not even fair so we’re going to dive into michigan wisconsin right right now and then and then in the next two episodes dive into the other week four matchups and maybe circle back to week three or just detail when it is week three but let’s let’s dive into this mishcon michigan at wisconsin mitch mcconnell mitch johnson. Let’s dive into the michigan game the michigan wisconsin game. That’s a big game early huge game game in the ben. Here’s what’s really cool. We were just discussing it but going into what what i want to talk about. Next episode in length is the politics scheduling these conferences do and both teams so it’s week four mind you both teams have a bye bye in week three in week three so both teams are coming off a bye into this matchup. So the the big ten already dubbed this matchup of the conference early. The conference decided decided that and i don’t disagree with them but i certainly don’t know that they need to give them a by central. Michigan was a vaunting game avant a game that they have to recover from so let’s dive into it all right so when michigan’s on offense wisconsin defense obviously michigan big big story in ann arbor is the new o._c. Josh gad savior save the man that is going to bring the no huddle to ann arbor and who called all the a place at alabama unless you talked to mike oxley or if you talk to nick sabin who who blamed josh gad is for the national teams or clubs but never was never mind. That’s just the the details. I it’s been an interesting little back and forth there between those two and again. I don’t know josh gaddis that well. I know mike loxley very well and i do know that mike was <music>. <hes> he had the keys he was running the show. It’s like anything else. Like what are we talking about. Yeah you recommend. The total offense barely cracked the top fifty. They were ranked number fifty but they do have seven starters returning and i account his eight out of eleven returning because tariq plaque got hurt last year but he certainly would have been was a starter so they got guys coming back in and they’re going to build this along. Ed warner’s corners offensive line. I mean is reality. I mean he’s a good old line coach so they got four starters returning to our preseason all big ten hopefuls ben edison and caesar ruas and the only question really it’d be a right tackle had a guy who came in late in the year and played a lot at right tackle andrew stupor but <hes> he just got hurt <hes> last week and he’s out for the season hurt his leg so they got a sophomore and jalen mayfield who who supposedly going to be the guy who’s going to get to call all right tackle position you concern but it’s like anything else. You got four four linemen you can you can hide a fifth. We won a national championship twice with average right tackles tackles so it’s not a huge concern for for michigan faithful and what they do have is shape patterson j. patterson soc as coming back looks to have a really a big year and i look for him to have a big year to be honest. I really like his production. I liked the fact that he has legit offense line. I like the fact that he has his top two receivers from last year coming back and nico collins and donovan the people’s jones p._j. And on top of that tariq black we’ll we’ll be healthy the hopefully and then he should have weapons man he should really be able to put up a dynamic year but honestly for michigan the big huge question mark on offense running back. They have a kid true. Wilson who’s the senior leader kind of that that journeymen who who they look to to be the guy chris turner came on late last year so they’re gonna look at him a._m. For some some touches and they have true freshman zack chardonnay who who’s supposed to be the real deal but i think that’s their biggest question is tight end and running back in and we’ll we’ll see how that develops but the core their offense is going to be experienced and very talented ever see core is in in my rankings the second the best in the conference behind ohio state and in shay looks to have the weapons around him so we’ll see what what what he’s able to put together and the big the biggest thing is wisconsin on defense was they were top five ten defense last year and they’re bringing back five defensive starters and they’re building that around on their secondary. Their secondary is gonna be legit. They have three or four starting secondary players returning. They were top twenty five pass defense nationally last year so i’ll tell you this they’re going to be up for the task of defending shape patterson especially with an extra week to prepare for him and josh gad new offense now the cool thing about playing saying someone early especially with a bi week is they won’t have the entire canvas that is michigan offense. They won’t be able all to prepare for some wrinkles. That mission won’t show before that game and so that’ll be that’ll be the caveat that michigan ride <hes> as far as preparation because you when you have a legit veterans secondary. That’s going to come out and prepare. They’ve already been through the ringer. They already know what they’re doing. They’re they’re going to be. They know how to prepare for an offense and so the good thing is michigan. We’ll have to show him the office to prepare for. You know what i mean well yeah. They’re not going to have to against middle tennessee or army no leaks and so that’ll be that’ll be the huge advantage for with for michigan going into the game and also unexperienced secondary is going to be able to adjust so. I i look for that to be a legit matchup now. I’m very concerned about wisconsin front seven they only return to their seven on the front seven which is very concerning and they’re. They’re going to be wisconsin asked. They’re going to have some solid play at linebacker at d. line but it’s going to be a matter of. Can they really stop. What’s i was going to be one of the better off in the big ten of josh gad. This is not a complete clown so if you really look that matchup in its entirety <hes>. I don’t think wisconsin has a chance of slowing down the newly dynamic gaddis offense. I mean he called. All the good plays in alabama for god’s sake none of the bad ones. He called the good ones well. I think the only only matchup that you like is their secondary against the wide receivers so i if they can slow him down if michigan struggles to run the ball. I think yeah i right. I don’t like the match up. Even a mission receivers are ridiculous. Jones renita causes ridiculous in my opinion ep. Jay’s going to be one of the top three receivers in america. Yeah i think for black is average thought. He was average in high school. I thought he was averages a freshman but he’ll come back and he at least provides some some experience and some he he’s not he’s not not a bad player but i mean to think that i know wisconsin’s bringing three or four starters back secondary but those three or four starters couldn’t cover d._j.

Last year and so if they both trained like i’m sure they did if they both developed like. I’m sure they did if they both did what they were supposed to do. They still can’t cover him or nico. So if shape patterson persson can be protected which against the front seven as depleted as wisconsin’s with an offensive line as as experienced as michigan’s. They should be able to do if they can do that. I think michigan is going to run wisconsin out of the stadium when they’re on offense. Is there a what brother lying around that wisconsin. He’s like he’s fourteen years. Give them. A couple of luminary doesn’t matter so that’s how i see that that matchup going on that side of the ball then wisconsin’s on offense boy enter jonathan taylor heisman. I’m hopeful almost twenty two hundred yard back boasting sixteen tug season. That’s yeah they don’t have a quarterback they didn’t they don’t but i mean they’re bringing in one of the best running backs in college in the country and so that there’s going to be awfully a running back can’t do it all but he’s a dynamic player. Johnson johnson never has a good quarterback russell wilson and then the next one year whatever for one year and then they drop off in the next best one is like scott toll zine but but the biggest question mark big question mark is a quarterback and especially after the the whole alex horning book debacle that landed him in tallahassee an from our insiders sources apparently he banged alignments girlfriend <hes> then got beat up in the locker room for it and then transferred to dell as so who will be the new captain wisconsin pass game that finished one hundred nineteenth in america last year by the way home. I think two or three from last so it’s it’s not good big question mark as quarterback obviously willoughby jet cone junior has been in the program. He’s kind of had the inside track. <hes> the most talented guy in the room will be graham merz. Who was the number three ranked pro style quarterback in america coming out of high school but he’s going to be a freshman. I mean that’s that’s a lot to put on a freshman and so i think he’ll be the guy in in madison in the future but will he be that now. I don’t know now they do other top four receivers coming coming back and danny davis a._j. Taylor and the tight end jake ferguson so i think they’re going to have players. I know danny davis dayton kid that that that we looked at he played really well against us. He played he’s played really well it wisconsin so it’ll be interesting to see how they develop and how that chemistry goes does with whoever the quarterback is i’m hearing it’s going to be jack owned but i’m gonna be honest bye-bye week four with a bi week. I think graham mertz should be the guy if if he is what he’s touted to be which i don’t know. I know they’re excited about him. I know everyone was excited about him coming out of high school so we’ll see. I don’t think he’s an elite quarterback but i think he’s better than what they have so you think that will be in and then they’ll just replace them. It depends on how it goes struggle against charlie strong on week one he might don’t get him upset. Predictions watch out for u._s._f. Versus wisconsin one that happens. I would expect a change at the helm um and quarterback but we’ll see we’ll get into that later. As a season starts in wisconsin line is another huge question mark i mean they will. We’ll be a wisconsin s line for sure big big big line that <hes> and they’ll they’ll use a lotta tight ends. They’ll be really they’ll do well impasse bro. They’ll they’ll world great people in the run game. I mean they will be. They’ve never not been really good. Oh line and they returned their center which is huge <hes> <hes> <hes> she is a huge dynamic and football is to return your center that you’re captain. He makes all the calls he i._d.’s the run game he i._d.’s protections with the quarterbacks help so that’s going to be a huge benefit to them. It’ll be it’ll be interesting to see how the rest of the ford developed and how they play <hes> u._s._f. Is going to be a good test. I early for them and then they got their hands full. Though with traditionally stout defence don brown’s what was the best defense in the the big dan last year <hes> now he did lose to stud coaches in greg madison and now washington which is not going to help john brown’s staff and he’s he’s. He’s re only returning to of seven on the front two of the front seven and to be honest with you regardless. Of how many people would you turn on the front seven. You can’t replace guys like devin bush the junior chase win of rashawn gerry and think there’s not going to be some type of drop off. I mean those are three excellent football players. They’re all three guys is that are making waves in the n._f._l. Right now yeah. I mean the those three guys they were dominant players. You had to know where they were you to gain platform. John kerry was dominant as far as talent now he was lazy.

Take plays off and so you you didn’t feel his impact as much whereas chased win of it was the opposite he was like the highest motor player ever and he wasn’t half as talented schon gary but he was he was you felt him a lot. More as far as impact in the game and devin bush was just that that swagger leader in the middle of the defense that they don’t have any more and so it’ll be interesting to see how that front seven develops. I know don brown will have a great plan for them. In this game is going to be the test. A lot like ohio state’s gonna have that test against nebraska whether it’s week five or whatever it is this this is gonna be that test for michigan on the road at wisconsin and the one thing they have have on defense coming back his their secondary. They have a solid corner in livered hill solid safety josh medalists and you’re talking about the number to pass defense in america bringing back those two four players and so i i don’t i don’t see wisconsin being able to do much against michigan’s defense. I really don’t i know that jonathan taylor is going to run. The ball wisconsin’s off the line and tight ends are going to be able to block. I mean that’s what they’ve been known for for five million years and so they’re going to be able to move the ball. They’re gonna be able to run the ball but i don’t know how well they’re going to be able to pass the ball against that secondary especially with tom brown and what he’s been known to do in passing scenarios like third-down down red zone things like that. It’s going to be dynamic plan and wish. I think wisconsin’s gonna struggle with it and especially coming off of last year how it went. I i think this year. It’s going to be another game like that. Even though it is in camp randall you have any prediction so prediction <hes> coming off a bye week for both teams in camp randall. I’m gonna be out of setting michigan makes a statement win. I think they they come out of there with a big win like forty to fourteen forty two forty one forty one now. I’m gonna call forty forty two fourteen. I th i think they come out of there with a big win and and and i really both sides of the ball they have they have the advantage right now and <hes> obviously there’s a lot of question remarks that are being answered currently in fall camp for both teams but i think that’s that’s going to be a a statement win for michigan to kinda ride into the meat of the this season i agree. I have went in twenty eight to ten little closer. I’m going the opposite route here with a major peop- for the wisconsin faithful here and wisconsin wins twenty four twenty three. Oh wow regulation or overtime. I regulation. I wanna make sure we’re keeping track of these predictions. Prediction almost say jonathan taylor goes for two hundred hundred. He only got one hundred last year and it’s going to do better this year. He’s worked tarred this off season. He’s also he’s not facing the front seventy face last year. They’re going to hand to them. Eight thousand times also yeah two hundred probably average four yards a carry but yeah for sure all right so that’s our kind of our our dive into week three kind of our college football preview like i said we’re only going to dive into the first four weeks ish because after or that it’s it’s a moot point. I think he’ll get more opportunities to breakage longer runs. I’m gonna go under under. I’m saying he’s back to freshman form. I think uh-huh jacob dobbins is a really good player. He’s a really good back. I don’t think he is in ezekiel elliott type of back so i’m i’m putting him at about fourteen hundred. I think it’ll be close but i think he’s going under the next one. The nebraska cornhuskers i’m going over under ten wins this year. Oh boy he’s gonna have to look at their schedule on on over under ten wins. I mean they obviously didn’t have the year last year that you would have. I’ll say under your taking the scott frost affect here. You’re gonna say under what they would like to last year.
